The Guide Finger Gloves from Black Diamond are split-finger mountaineering and ski guide gloves engineered for bell-to-bell days in severe cold, where warmth and hand function both need to show up at the same time. A 4-way stretch woven nylon shell with a GORE-TEX waterproof/breathable insert and Gore Plus Warm Technology blocks moisture and wind at temperature extremes. The removable liner combines 170g PrimaLoft Gold insulation with a boiled wool backhand (50% wool, 50% polyester) and a 300g Polartec fleece palm for layered warmth that works both inside the glove and on its own. The split-finger design captures the warmth of a mitten across the two outer fingers while keeping the index finger and thumb available for map reading, gear adjustments, and rope work. Large gauntlets seal over a jacket cuff without gaps.
