Suits Toyota LC200 HiLux GX 470/460 FJ Tacoma Prado 90/120/150

If you've ever changed your front diff oil, you'll know how tricky it is to remove the original lower drain plug. The 10mm Hex head is easily stripped and irreparably damaged, which can result in an expensive trip to the mechanic.

KAON diff tools are essentially adaptors, designed to allow the use of a 24mm socket or wrench to remove a stubborn diff plug.

Made with hardened and tempered steel, these tools are designed to withstand the high levels of torque required when changing your diff oil, making your next diff oil change easier than ever.

FEATURES:

  • CNC machined tool has one side as a 24mm hex, the other a slightly oversized 10mm hex designed to fit snugly into the Toyota Diff Drain Plug.
  • Large flat flange helps keep the tool square and keep it on-axis when applying torque to remove the plug.

COMPATIBLE WITH TOYOTA MODELS:

  • HiLux N70 / N80
  • LandCruiser LC200
  • Prado 90 / 120 / 150
  • FJ Cruiser
  • Tacoma

INCLUDES:

  • 1 x Diff Drain Plug Removal Tool

Disclaimer: Depending on the condition of your plug and how baked in it is, we cannot 100% guarantee this tool will work.  It will give you the best chance to remove without having to chisel the plug out.  A few tips that can help.

  • Place the tool on the plug and give it a good solid flat tap with a large hammer to help loosen the thread
  • Use some heat on the plug
  • If you have stripped the hex in the plug, use a cold chisel to tap and rotate the plug.  Be careful not to damage the diff housing.

Once you’ve managed to remove your old Diff Drain Plug using this tool, we recommend fitting the KAON Replacement Plug, so you don’t encounter the same issue again.
