Activated Charcoal Gel is a ready-to-use, multi-species formula enhanced with electrolytes. It contains Activated Bone Charcoal and Attapulgite Clay and is intended for use as an emergency first aid treatment in cases of accidental poisoning. This may include poisoning from insecticides, herbicides, organic chemicals, intestinal bacterial contaminants, or grain overload. Research has demonstrated that activated charcoal can effectively counteract effects of certain oral toxins.

INGREDIENTS

Active Ingredients:

Bone Charcoal...... 100 mg/mL

Attapulgite Clay.... 200 mg/mL

Inactive Ingredients: Water, Sodium chloride (35 mg/mL), Potassium chloride (35 mg/mL), and Polysorbate 

DIRECTIONS

For use in cattle, horses, calves, foals, sheep, goats, dogs and cats. Select the recommended feeding rate in the tubes and feed the animals orally allowing time to swallow. 

Dogs & Cats: 1-3 mL per kg (2.2 lb.) body weight. 

Sheep & Goats: 1-3 mL per kg (2.2 lb.) of body weight. 

Adult Cattle & Horses: It is recommended to give up to 300 mL. 

Calves & Foals: It is recommended to give up to 80 mL. 

Repeat Activated Charcoal Gel feeding after 1 to 3 hours or as needed. 

A stomach tube should be used in animals unable to swallow. If conditions do not improve, consult your veterinarian. Depending on the condition of the animal, supportive therapy such as parental fluids and injectable antidotes should be used along with Activated Charcoal Gel for efficient recovery. May not be very effective in the treatment of heavy metal poisoning like lead, arsenic, mercury, etc.
