Singapore Airlines is giving its inflight entertainment a complete overhaul. The airline has introduced the next generation of KrisWorld, with sharper screens, better sound, a redesigned interface and more than 2,500 titles, together with high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi. Both are part of a wider update of the Singapore Airlines travel experience that also includes new cabin products, a revised dining concept, new comfort features in every class and improved ground services. The airline will present the complete package in Singapore in November 2026.

The new KrisWorld arrives on 41 retrofitted Airbus A350-900 long-haul and A350-900ULR aircraft, which will gradually return to service from 2027, and on the future Boeing 777-9. Which features are available depends on the aircraft type and the cabin class.

Bigger, sharper screens

First Class gets 32-inch 4K touchscreens. In Business Class the screens measure up to 22 inches on the retrofitted A350s and 20 inches on the Boeing 777-9. Premium Economy passengers look at 4K touchscreens of up to 16 inches, Economy at screens of up to 13 inches, and selected aircraft will also have OLED displays. Spatial sound technology adds depth and clarity, which the airline says makes action scenes more dynamic and dialogue clearer.

The headphones follow the cabin hierarchy. First Class passengers receive Bang & Olufsen wireless Bluetooth headphones with active noise cancellation. Business and Premium Economy come with noise-cancelling headphones, and Economy with wired earphones. In every case, passengers can also pair their own compatible Bluetooth headphones with the screen.

More than 2,500 titles, refreshed every month

The library covers Hollywood releases, award-winning international films, regional favourites, complete TV series, music and podcasts, with content from Apple TV, BBC, CNA, HBO Max, iQIYI and Paramount+. BBC News and Sport 24 provide live news and sport. The selection is updated every month.

The new interface has clearer menus, larger icons and better search and filter functions. A mini-player keeps a video running in a small window while passengers browse, favourite categories can be pinned as shortcuts, and a sidebar shows the remaining flight time and the weather without interrupting the film. For younger travellers, a Kids’ Mode offers age-appropriate films, series and music in a simplified interface.

A screen that remembers you

KrisFlyer members can sign in to KrisWorld to get personal recommendations, save favourites and continue a film where they stopped on a previous flight. They can also check their connecting Singapore Airlines flight from Singapore, including terminal and departure gate. On the retrofitted A350s and the Boeing 777-9, First and Business Class passengers can save their preferred seat positions for dining, relaxing and sleeping, and First Class passengers can even save their lighting settings for future flights.

A new wellness planner adds audio for sleep and meditation, videos with breathing exercises and gentle stretches at the seat, and articles on health and well-being. In First and Business Class it also suggests seat positions and lighting, and in every class it recommends drinks for a more comfortable long-haul flight.

“Our customers told us they wanted more choice and flexibility in how they spend their time on board,” says Yeoh Phee Teik, Senior Vice President Customer Experience at Singapore Airlines. According to the airline, that feedback shaped both the new KrisWorld and its new connectivity offer.

From early 2027, Singapore Airlines will gradually install Starlink satellite broadband on its Airbus A380, A350-900 long-haul and A350-900ULR aircraft, with plans for other types still to be announced. Starlink uses satellites in low Earth orbit and is meant to deliver a faster and more stable connection from take-off to landing, good enough for streaming, staying in touch, online gaming and work on passengers’ own devices.

The airline’s free, unlimited Wi-Fi remains in place for passengers in Suites, First and Business Class, for PPS Club members and for KrisFlyer members in Premium Economy and Economy. USB-C sockets at every seat on the retrofitted A350s and the Boeing 777-9, plus wireless charging pads in First and Business Class, keep devices charged throughout the flight.

The new KrisWorld follows another recent upgrade for Singapore Airlines passengers, the new amenity kits with Sisley in First and Byredo in Business Class. In September 2026, the airline was named the World’s Best Airline at the Skytrax World Airline Awards for the sixth time. The full picture of its new travel experience follows in November.
