Must Read

“Live free – the hotel for more enjoyment of life” is the ambitious slogan of Barbara and Rupert Madreiter’s 4-star hotel “Der Löwe” in Leogang. It can be anticipated that this hotel delivers on every promise. The brand new superior suites with private sauna, open fireplace, and private roof terrace, the new wellness area “Leonarium” with a fantastic view and relaxing treatments, the alpine gourmet cuisine, and the special Lions Lounge bar make the Löwe a true oasis of well-being.

Wellness pleasures in the Leonarium

Of course, the attentive and personal service – from the first to the last moment of the stay – is an essential part of the enjoyment of life that the Löwe explicitly promises. The hotel always strives to offer guests that certain something. The Löwe also features two wellness areas. While the Family Spa is perfect for young guests and families, the new “Leonarium” above the rooftops of Leogang offers refined wellness pleasures for adults. From the Lion Ceremony with warm changing stones to the Indian Kaash Massage and soothing beer peelings and infusions in the panorama sauna, wellness and beauty are offered at a high level. The relaxation room is called “Steinberg Cinema” and lives up to its name with its impressive view.

Culinary highlights

The new “lebe frei” suites are particularly recommended when choosing a room. The luxurious suites with over 60 m2, furnished with the finest materials, feature a private sauna, open fireplace, and private roof terrace! The chef de cuisine’s interpretation of “alpine gourmet cuisine” sets culinary highlights – a true treat for the taste buds. For those who want to end the evening in a cozy way, the Lions Lounge bar is highly recommended. Here, in a very special ambiance, you can enjoy the best wines, digestifs, cocktails, and cigars.

Excursions in the Löwen electric car

Sustainability is a top priority at the Löwe. This year, the hotel was already awarded for its efforts in environmental protection by Federal Minister Andrä Rupprechter for the second time. Photovoltaic systems, green electricity, regional purchasing, and heat recovery are a matter of course here. In addition, guests have the opportunity to take CO2-free excursions in the Löwen electric car.

Located in a wonderful region

The Löwe is ideally located for outdoor activities. The Saalfelden Leogang region is one of the most versatile active regions in Austria, both in summer and winter. While the largest ski area in Austria can be enjoyed in winter, 720 kilometers of mountain bike trails, 480 kilometers of valley bike paths, a huge and popular hiking area, and numerous golf courses are available in the remaining seasons.
