Swiss International Air Lines has won the title “Europe’s Leading Airline – Business Class” at the World Travel Awards 2026. It is the second year in a row that the airline takes the prize in this category.

The World Travel Awards count among the best-known honours in the travel and tourism industry. Each year, industry professionals and travellers from around the world vote for the winners.

“A boost to do even better”

Stefan Vasic, Head of Guest Experience, Brand Management & Marketing at SWISS, credited the airline’s staff: the award recognises above all the commitment of the employees, whose hospitality and personal service make guests feel well looked after on the ground and in the air. He called it both a source of pride and an incentive to improve further.

What SWISS Business offers

On short and long-haul flights alike, SWISS Business combines personal service with comfort. On the ground, passengers get priority services and lounge access, and on board the airline promises high-quality dining and a cabin built around different travellers’ needs. On long-haul routes, SWISS is rolling out SWISS Senses across all classes, from Economy to First. The new SWISS Business brings the latest seat technology, several seat options and more privacy: extra quiet, additional space or an extra-long bed, depending on the passenger’s wishes.

SWISS Business Class on Luxvisor

We have tested SWISS Business Class on European routes many times. Most recently, the A321neo from Hamburg to Zurich earned 4.2 out of 5, with Tête de Moine on the tray and the Alps glowing on approach. The older A321 on the same route came to 3.9 after a daring meal without an alternative, and the A320 from Zurich to Hamburg to 3.8.

Earlier reviews include the A320neo from Zurich to Hamburg (4.2), the airBaltic A220-300 flying for SWISS to Hamburg (3.9) and to Budapest (4.1), and the Helvetic Embraer E190-E2 (3.6). For the long-haul cabins of the future, read about SWISS Senses.
