Only three months after it opened, the COYA Suite at Puente Romano Marbella has its first trophy. At the BEYOND Luxury Awards 2026 it was named “Best Signature Suite”, a category awarded for the first time this year.

The 310-square-metre suite, which opened in July, takes the world of the COYA restaurant brand, with its Peruvian cooking, music and entertainment, and moves it into a private space. It can be booked for overnight stays and is the only place where the whole COYA concept comes together, from restaurant and club to pool and suite.

The centre is a large salon with a made-to-measure pisco bar and a dining table where the chefs of COYA Marbella serve tasting menus created for the occasion, prepared in a discreetly integrated butler’s kitchen.

A separate games room has a billiard table that converts into a dining table. Then there is The Temple, an air-conditioned spirits cellar with hand-carved, Inca-inspired joinery and a personally curated selection.

The living area is completed by a super-king bed, a dressing room, a marble bathroom and a terrace along the full length of the suite with its own jacuzzi. Adjoining junior suites can be added for larger groups. London studio First Within designed the interiors, using bespoke joinery, antique brass, commissioned Inca-themed artefacts and art.

A personal concierge coordinates each stay, from in-suite dining and the stocked pisco bar to DJ sets and live performances, so an evening can run from private dinner to the small hours without leaving the suite. “It is a recognition of the idea behind the suite and of the whole team that brings it to life,” said Sergio Gómez Estefan, Corporate Director of Marketing.

The award continues Puente Romano’s run at the BEYOND Luxury Awards, where the resort was named Best Luxury Lifestyle Hotel of the Year in Spain in 2025. The awards, now in their sixth year, cover Spain, Portugal and Andorra; winners were chosen from an official list of 60 five-star and five-star Grand Luxe hotels.
