Star Clippers, the cruise line, has once again been honored with the coveted World Travel Award. At the award ceremony held in Doha, Qatar, Star Clippers even defended both titles from the previous year: “World’s Leading Luxury Sailing Cruise Company” and “World’s Leading Green Company.” The cruise line was thrilled to receive the prestigious trophy for the 15th time, which the “Wall Street Journal” describes as the “Oscar of the travel industry.” For the first time, two titles were held in two consecutive years.

The World Travel Awards ceremony was held for the 20th time. Each year, international companies are nominated in numerous categories and voted online by experts and customers in the travel industry. “It is a great honor for us to be recognized once again for our product. However, we are particularly delighted about the repeated recognition of the ecological aspect,” said Star Clippers’ owner Mikael Krafft on receiving the awards.
