With modern rooms and new event spaces for its 65th season
The renowned Du Lac et Du Parc Grand Resort in Riva del Garda on Lake Garda is celebrating its 65th anniversary this year and has many new features in store for its guests this season. A total of 15 rooms and a suite on the sixth and highest floor of the main building, Hotel Du Lac, have been completely renovated. The room categories “Design,” “Deluxe Vista Lago,” and “Suite Deluxe Vista Lago” feature minimalist design, modern furnishings in white, gray, and beige tones, and provide a contrast to the adjacent 70,000-square-meter park with its colorful nature.
While the former swimming pool was converted into the modern conference room Sala Magnolia as part of the renovation, the existing event spaces Sala Rosa and Sala Glicine have been painted in light colors and offer plenty of natural light. The spacious resort offers a total of six event units, providing the perfect setting for weddings, seminars, conferences, and other events.
This year’s renovations are part of a far-reaching renovation program at Du Lac et Du Parc Grand Resort, for which the well-known Italian architect Alberto Cecchetto from the University of Venice is responsible. His goal is to decipher and reconstruct the architecture of places and landscapes. By 2020, his idea is to also renovate the spa. After the opening of Bar Molo44 with an adjacent wooden terrace and an illuminated bar counter in 2015, the main entrance, parking lot, and lobby were renovated in 2016, along with eight of the 30 bungalows and some rooms at Hotel Du Lac. Since last year, the Aria restaurant, formerly known as Restaurant Du Lac, has presented a new kitchen concept, and the Cristallo indoor pool provides swimming fun right in the park. Guests have been staying in the new, 48-square-meter Cottage Vista Lago in the heart of the park since 2017.
